What we build
A few things, done well.
Almost all of our work is homes — renovating them, extending them and building new ones. Carpentry is done by our own crew; every other trade is a local we use every week.
Extensions and additions
Rear additions, second storeys, verandahs, decks and awnings — built to match the house.
New homes and granny flats
New builds and secondary dwellings, from the slab up. Shane also holds a QBCC building design licence.
Front façade makeovers
New cladding, windows, entries and verandahs that change how a house reads from the street.
Rural and commercial
Sheds and shed fit-outs, farm buildings and small commercial jobs across the Darling Downs and further west.

How we work
Straight answers on scope, timing and cost.
Talk it through
A call, then a look at the house or the block. We work out what you want, what it involves and whether we're the right fit.
A clear quote
Itemised, with GST included in every price. It names the drawings it was priced from, spells out what's excluded, and shows any allowances for things you're still choosing.
Contract and build
A Master Builders Queensland contract. Our own carpenters on the tools, local trades we use every week, and progress claims at the contract stages.
No surprises
Changes are priced and signed off before the work is done. If something is our mistake, we say so and fix it.
About us
Family owned, Toowoomba based.
High Range Constructions was started in 2018 by Shane Wagner. Shane runs the jobs and does the quoting, contracts and client side; Janelle runs the office and accounts. The crew are our own carpenters and apprentices, led on site by two site leads.
Most of our work comes from people we've built for before, and from their friends and family. We'd like to keep it that way, so we take on the jobs we can do properly and give every one of them the same attention.
